Confirmation - A Milestone In Your Faith

Confirmation is open to all students in grades 6-12 who feel ready to explore this step of faith towards membership in the church. Confirmation classes will be offered with both an in-person and virtual option. In-person classes will be held on Sunday mornings from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Youth Space. Virtual classes will be held on Zoom on Sunday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30 pm. The program will be led by Pam Bentley, Director of Youth Ministry, with assistance from the Youth Leadership Team and Confirmation Mentors. There is no cost for Confirmation. All program materials are covered by the church.

***With the condensed schedule this year, attendance at all Confirmation classes, the Confirmation retreat, and mentor meetings are essential. If your student is unable to meet the requirements, your student may not be able to be confirmed. If you anticipate a conflict with your student’s schedule, please contact Pam Bentley, Director of Youth Ministry, at pbentley@vbumc.org as soon as possible.

Sunday, February 21: Confirmation Information Meeting

12:00 pm – In-person option in the Youth Space. Parents and students are invited to attend together.

7:30 pm – Virtual meeting on Zoom. Parents and students are invited to attend together.

March

Sunday, March 14: Intro to Confirmation for students

11:00 am – In-person option in the Youth Space.
