CREW Work Camp
July 27-31, 2020
8 AM - 1 PM

All youth, rising 7th-12th grades AND 2020 graduated high school Seniors, are invited to spend the week with CREW for Work Camp. We'll spend the week of July 27-31 at Love & Caring Ministries, a Virginia Beach women's shelter. Projects will include light construction (such as hanging drywall, installing windows, and painting), weeding and gleaning a vegetable garden, yard work and farm maintenance.

We'll work hard, but we'll have fun too! We’ll end the week with a gathering on Friday afternoon for the Work Camp team. This event will be optional and free.

CREW Work Camp is entirely FREE! Registration is required and closes July 19.

COVID Protocols for Work Camp

Due to COVID protocols, we will be unable to use the church bus for mass transportation. Drop-off and pick-up each day will be at Love & Caring Ministries, located at 2804 Salem Rd, Virginia Beach, VA, 23456. The same will apply for our gathering on Friday afternoon. Drop-off and pick-up will be at that site. Details on this activity are forthcoming.

It is our responsibility to follow COVID protocols set forth by our UMC Bishop and the VBUMC Healthy Church Team. This will require all students and adults participating to sign a COVID-19 health form prior to attending camp, wear masks, and practice social distancing.
